It was the last pass for that field, so the bear didn’t have any cover to run to, other than that last strip. When it ran out of the strip, it probably realized it had no cover, then ran back into the strip and into the chopper since that was the only cover left. I was riding with dad cutting beans, when we were pushing a rabbit in front of us. When we got towards the end of that pass, the rabbit ran out of the standing beans, paused momentarily, then ran right back into the header. |
