Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Seeing the same thing here in southern NE - northern KS. Guys trying to harvest high moisture corn saying it is very slow to dry down. As early as it was planted and as hot and dry as we have been this summer I thought harvest would start by early October for dry corn. Most of it isn’t even black layered yet.
We had to turn some pivots on again to finish up some corn. I don’t remember ever needing to irrigate this late. Especially on April planted corn. |
