You have two separate guarantees.

One is revenue. X% of your APH depending on the coverage level selection multiplied by the spring price. If your harvested bushels multiplied by the fall price is lower than that you have a claim.

Second is bushels. If you fall short of your bushel guarantee you will be paid based off off the higher of the spring or fall price.

Couple things to remember. Crop insurance uses a shrink number from USDA, 1.2%/pt, not what a commercial elevator uses. So if you bring 20% corn to town and they shrink it by 1.5%/pt the difference will be added back in when adjusted. Same deal when that elevator dries and shrinks those bushels down to 14% if you are going to store in town. Those bushels will be added back in as well to get back to 15.5%.
