Subject: RE: Brute vs Montana post drivers

Eastern Iowa
I have a Montana 1000 and generally love it. Simple. low maintenance, easy to use. Super heavy, you'd want a skid steer or track loader rated at 3000 pounds or it gets tippy when lifted high. Also, have experienced issues in extremely dry clay soils getting 8" posts through, but that is an issue with all drivers I guess. In good going we can easily drive half a mile of wood posts in an hour. It is the ultimate tool for improving existing fence, you can drive new posts right up against standing wire.
