West Central Iowa | Just installed a new clean grain chain and sprockets in a 2388 with AFS factory yield monitor. Trying to set the paddle gap on the top of the elevator housing. I have been told it is supposed to be 3/8 inch gap. I cannot get the gap that close. I got close to that, but the chain was way too tight. The adjustment at the bottom of the elevator is as loose as the slots will allow. When I set the chain tension to where I normally like it to be, the gap at the top is about 1/2 to 5/8. Not sure what to do. Can't run the chain too tight or bad things usually happen. I know the yield monitor has to be recalibrated anytime you change the paddle gap at the top. What gap do you set yours to? | |
