NE Iowa | Shrink happens whether you combine it wet or dry so really doesn't matter. $.02 drying is cheap. So 28% corn would cost you $.26 drying but gain you only $.05 price. If you corn will dry to 15% in the field you will potentially gain $.21 a bu. But how many ears will drop and kernals shell at the head while waiting to dry? Personally I would want to bale cornstalks and plant cover crop so I would definitely run. But if doing neither it may be a toss up money wise. | |
