Subject: RE: Sulfur in front of winter wheat

Arva, Ontario

Here in the Great Lakes Basin, with our snow and winter precip, most any sulfate fall applied would not be around for the spring when uptake was happening.

For a nutrient that has tendencies similar to 'nitrate', would you put it on 6-7 months before uptake was likely?

Our sulfur will be applied with our spring top-dress. Our experiments with sulfur in wheat starter have yielded no return.
