Mid-Michigan | According to what I read here, if you don't plant your beans in April you don't know what you're doing. Up here (Michigan), if the ground is ready, I'm planting corn. I do not have the ability to plant soybeans and corn at the same time. I need every minute I can get for heat units for my corn (I probably shouldn't plant corn). My soybeans do just as well planted may 5th as june 1st. It all depends on rain. Right now, I have some beans ready in 2 weeks. I also need 3 weeks on some before a freeze (I dont care about a little frost). I intentionally drag out soy planting. I dont care if I'm the first one planting nor do I care if I'm the last one. I will not plant in the mud. Your crops look great (I know nothing about milo). I hope your harvest goes well. | |
