ECIL | Some guys use them to farm, many others as a prestige thing (or something like that, as many never seem to get dirty). Trading every few years cheaper in the long run? You must put a ton of miles on your pickup. First pickup I used to farm with I had for 14 years and put over 290k on it, I bet I didn't spend 11k on it, and that included a transmission that I could've gotten by putting just the torque converter in to fix the issue. Second one has over 150k on it and I've probably put almost 5k in it. These figures include tires, oil changes, brakes, tune ups, I try to do all fluids as much or more than recommended. I wouldn't consider that nickel and dimeing a guy to death when compared to eating the initial depreciation on a vehicle every few years. Especially on a 50k pickup, and many spend more than that. | |
