WY, OK | As long as you get under 20" of yearly moisture and most of that is snow that blows a true pyramid can't be beat, especially on a good slope. I wouldn't dare pyramid down here, everything is put into rows. A hay barn is still high on the list though. My best sloped yard turns into a quick sand trap with some good winter/spring rain, had ruts so deep I was dragging the frame on the 7320 getting in and out this year. If we stacked hay in rows like that in WY they'd be completely under snow after the first 4" storm, BTDT on several semi loads we left to easily load on a hay bed by a road one winter, got buried in Dec., what a mess trying to dig them out. Best snow fence I ever saw. | |
