East of Broken Bow | Don't know about driving one, but have a friend who works in a body shop, and was hired to fix one that was in a fender bender. He said he personally got turned off by them, because of their complexity. For example, they thought they had a simple job of replacing a door skin, a little hardware, and paint matching. Turns out it required a new door handle, which is computerized, and had to be programmed by a Tesla technician, as much if not most of their software is proprietary. So, this car that was more or less fixed, had to sit and wait for over 3 weeks, until Tesla sent a tech over, to do the programming.
In his words, it is an awesome car, but it is more complex than anything else he has ever seen. | |
