..I had half a notion to have a late application of Headline applied to my beans to delay maturity...and maybe toss a little 20-20-20 foliar fertilizer at them to see if I could add some pods and beans to them. Were planted late...and are very green and growing now that it has cooled and have some moisture.


I have not seen any study to say that you would get your money back for this late of an application. If you do spray them, why not use a cheaper fungicide? I used generic quilt xl this year and if its like the last time i used it on beans, they will stay green till killing frost.

I believe its the azoxystrobin in the quilt that keeps then green forever..... But don't quote me on that.

Personally i feel its too late to get the big benefit..... The plants have already aborted the pods or beans during the drought stress.

If you experiment though, i would scout real hard for bugs before making another pass.
