I was unable to think of a way to headline that exactly.

I've found that if you have a DELL computer and you've lost your restore CD you can use another DELL restore CD from somebody who has the same operating system.  That is if you had XP home and somebody else has XP home, their restore CD will restore your computer.   You'll have to get online most likely to get all the drivers for your ethernet, sound and video though. 

While I can't guarantee it I believe that the DELL restore CD will also work to restore other company computers IF they have their KEY on their computer.  You restore using the DELL CD and it will ask you for a key, at that point you enter the key found on a sticker on your computer.  It will have to be the same flavor though.  You cannot use a DELL XP home version if you computer had XP Pro or XP Media.
