G'day from Aussy land down under. My wife has suffered various forms of back pain over recent years. Sacroiliac joint [between your hips and your backbone] is the latest culprit. Compressed discs another. Doctors had two alternatives. 1. Ride it out - it may slowly improve. 2. Shot [s] of cortisone - could be long term - or short! Wife not keen on cortisone! Our daughter suggested chiropractic. Suggestion taken up with good results in pain relief and movement. Covid 19 is affecting where we want to travel [ chiropractor 1 hrs drive away] and how often. But she went back recently. She was not able to see her regular chiropractor, but another in the clinic. This chiropractor has suggested "Laser Therapy". - The K-laser infrared laser beam ....stimulates muscles and circulation. Painless treatment, apart from mild warmth. Brochure suggests acute pain can be treated daily. Chronic conditions 2 - 3 times per week. Long term condition - once or twice a month. Questions ! Anyone been treated for pain with laser technology? Long or short term effects? As usual - thanks for the wealth of knowledge here on NAT.! |
