just a tish NE of central ND | Air flow....Fly swatters need to be open designed screen to let the air flow through.. Not sure about the black or colored part though.When I was a kid, out in the shop, we had a homemade fly swatter handle with an inner tube on it cut out the shape of the fly swatter. Non the less, it was black. The metal handle had a flat sheet metal brazed on and holes in the sheet metal for fasteners and the rubber was attached with copper swather draper canvas repair rivets...It was pretty heavy for a fly swatter and it hurt like heck if someone hit you with it...
