Boone, Iowa | I have had my best luck starting with bare metal and applying a good primer. This way, everything is smooth and will make the end result satisfying. Just to state a fact, red paint is the most expensive when purchasing at a paint store. Something about the pigments used. Powdercoating, as suggested, is something to look into. I have a local powdercoater that I take things to. If I am not in a hurry, I will have him powdercoat when he is doing the same color on some other projects. Helps keep the cost down. | |
