SW MN | You haven't stated what your budget is. You could get into a 700 series reasonable. check out recent sales on Auction time, or Big Iron. It would be best to have a trained tech check them out. If the bushing in the vari-speed pulleys are not replaced in time it can cost Big dollars! The bushings are cheap. I've owned a 580r for 8-9 years. Big learning curve coming from TR 98. Most later model 500's were Ag Leader ready, check into that, Mine was not. I'm just now putting in a Precision harvest system. Their a Beast of a Machine. Later Machines also had updated rear impeller. I run a round bar concave under the front impeller. Standard under the cylinder. The cleaning system is the best in the Industry. Funny thing is the New Deere X combine is very similar to the Claas Combine.. with the exception of only having a single rotor for threshing & separation. | |
