| Actually this made me remember a meeting I was at where the grain buyer from a large Mexican bean crushing plant was speaking. This was after the trade dispute we had with Mexico. If you remember that time; Mexico tenderer in a few loads of beans from SA. He said price getting into the plant was about the same as USA beans but they noticed that SA oil content was generally 2-3% higher than USA beans. He said it stayed that consistent throughout all SA loads. So all things bring equal he said for them to now buy USA beans they take the lower oil into consideration. Sure sucks when a trade war plan backfires! | |
