I used to kind of feel that but then realized when the economics dictate it then the seed companies will breed to fit the environment. Same deal in Texas or Kansas when they get high-yielding irrigated corn with extremely high temps, and those of us in the original corn belt start worrying if we're pollinating in 90° weather. Just takes time to breed a seed that can handle it.
