WC Iowa | Biodynamic farming does sound weird and knida out there when you first read about it. It appears though that Rudolph Steiner and some of the other early proponents stumbled on using microbes to enhance crop growth. The same thing that is becoming mainstream here with the soil health movement. Back when the early folks were working with herbal mixes, the logical thought was that the mixes worked because of moon signs and various other non scientific reasons. The people then knew nothing about soil microbes. Apparently soil science teachers here didn't either in the 60's because there was nothing said about soil life then when I went to Iowa State. | |
