Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | 25 lbs. of nitrogen in about another 3 weeks. Watch the nodules. When they turn pink to brown they are not producing N anymore and a late shot of nitrogen will help the plant retain those last pods.
I used to apply N at early pod set until I found out that was the wrong thing to do as long as you have good nodulation. Never had consistent results doing that. This approach seems to be better. |
