NESD
The signal used for GPS is being transmitted on the L2 Band, it is scheduled to be decommissioned on Feb 1, 2021, that is subject to discussion but as a dealer that’s what we are told, there will be a major update released sometime in August for all StarFire 3000 and Starfire 6000 receivers to update the software to receive the L5 band that GPS is going to, the iTC receiver cannot accept this new software so once the satellite is shut off that’s the end of the iTC, as stated the iTC will receive the WAAS signal but Deere equipment will not use WAAS for steering, they will only work for mapping and as a speed/GPS source.

As I stated there will be a major software released in August that is a mandatory update, those receivers not updated will not work after Feb 1, 2021 until they receive the updated software.
