What signal level are you running? Unless it’s SF3 or RTK, driving the boundaries beforehand won’t be great, by the time you use it, it will have drifted a bit. I would draw a new one on your first pass around and use that if on SF1.
I would still draw them all on JD op center and load them in. Then it’s easy to pull up the field name when you get there.
I run rtk, but seems most fields have some part or another that changed over the year, so I’ve got in the habit of drawing a new boundary every year I plant, unless I know for sure it’s exactly the same, in which case I can run Autotrac right on the first pass.
