Subject: RE: Rain Totals?

Central IA
My fields received from .1-.3" rain. No wind and nice and gentle. Really wanted an 1" or more. But I know just to northwest of me its drier.

Last measurable rains since June 1st
July 1st .2-.4"
June 27th .1-.2"
June 25th .1-.3"
June 21st .3-.5"
June 8th .2-.5"

I know some have less rain, and walking crops this week(and pulling many weeds in beans) my corn looks pollinated. And I would rate at least 80% good or excellent. Potential is there, but grain fill takes moisture. This could be a great crop or below average at this point.

I will note on temps, we have been low 70 or into 60's at night. Just pretty good. Forecast is warm Friday and Saturday with lows in the mid 70's forecast. But then lows in the 60's after that. I would say moisture looks to be the driver for this crop. At least on my farm.
