Subject: RE: Peterbilt 387

1 hour east of ol cheyenne
Ju st a done over T2000 total POS. Plastic fantastic garbage. That stupid fish (dumb bass) fixed window in the front of the door had to e designed by a crackhead. Hood mounting around hinges is a very weak area. Visibility out of them sux. Door handles break easily. Sleeper birth storage compartments latches suck...Plastic fake gausesand dash and The list goes on. They compete well with the lesser brands. Maybe Ok if they got a real drivetrain ( 13 or 18 speed cat or ISX if that's your cup o tea) if not keep looking.
Out west here in the wind tunnel don't let the wind catch the doors or hoods or it will spring the door hinges and bust the hood all to he double hockeysticks.
Crappy ground clearance too!!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST CRAPPY TO WORK ON TOO WITH THE ENGINE JAMMED UNDER THE WINDSHIELD AND UNDER THE FIREWALL!!!
Ps own a 2000 T2000 KW bought it for the cat 13 speed and 355 rearends they are cheaply built but might work "ok " for a farm truck. When the inside door handles break a 5" long 3/8 bolt with a slight bend in it will work won't break allowing wind to catch door and yank it open.
