NW KS/ SC ID | Its a good road. the 'least safe" stretch is the Wallace county stretch north of Sharon Springs. lots of roll, not much shoulder, and enough traffic that people try to pass trucks that the hills slowed down, so occasional wreck, but compared to traffic around Garden City its pretty safe. All other stretches of that highway have shoulder and are flatter.
Whatever you do, dont send them down the narrow POS that is highway 25... :)
27 is also not patrolled very well, so if they need to make time they can open it up between towns.
