Subject: RE: Row sense for 2014 JD Corn head.

Northern Illinois

Had them on a Series I and a GT(which shares the same poly as a Series II). We bought the kit for the 600 Deere corn head which is all the hardware that goes on the snoot as those heads are plug and play (wired).

You just have to fashion the mounting plate (that comes in the kit) to  fit up in the snout. We welded 1" angle iron on the mounting plate. So it held the mounting up 1" from the bottom of the snoot and the other leg fit snug to the bottom of the snoot.  We then put 3- 6mm wellnuts in the bottom of the snoot and 3 6mm bolts to hold the angle/mounting plate on the whisker side and 2 wellnuts and bolts on the other side. If and when you do this, do your self a favor and put wellnuts in 2 other snoots so when you are trying to finish a field in the middle of the night with rain coming in and you in the farthest field from your shop and you roll on of these snoots you have one you set up ready to go. Whether its on the machine or we carry a spare snoot. That may also wart off the evil snoot spirts :-)

___Also for the OP a 2014 head should be wired. You just need the kit. Our dealer had one off a demo head of 900.00 ____
