Donnellson, IA. Makes saying here easier. | My uncle is trying to reduce residue issues on his farm and somenof the issues he doesn't like as much about his 32xx head as far as kernel loss and plugging at the back of the rolls. I know some have talked about it on here before. I priced it today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just curious what anyone that has done this thought about results and wear. Currently he knows or vertical tills them. But the high residue areas still have soybeans that are behind and struggle. Problem is getting help to do chopping or tillage right behind the machine. Too many times it happens late in the fall and stalk decomposing is massively reduced. I suggested the rolls because it would be done as he combines and it will have much more days or warmer soil and air temps to decompose. |
