Subject: Pulling a car trailer into Nebraska

Salina, Kansas
My dad bought a car on an auction this week in Nebraska and going up to get it tomorrow. Will be going with a half ton pickup with a regular tag and a bumper car trailer. The most direct route is right up 81 highway which puts up past the truck check point south of Hebron. Is this a problem?? In the past on equipment fetching trips our trips somehow always end up taking us around this spot for the reason you might suspect but that is usually a 3/4 ton farm pickup with a gooseneck or something bigger. Thought this might fit under the rules but maybe not. since it is not farm or business related at all and in a non business vehicle thought it might fit inside the rules. Just wondering what others might know about this since it does add a fair about to the trip going east or west a ways.
