If this is what they say (same baler as their pull type) Where is the extra productivity and crop advantage other than more road speed? One could buy two new balers and 2 good used tractors for the same or less and be twice as productive.

I thought the same thing until I ran it.  The big advantage is driving speed.  It just flat floats across the ground at 12 mph.  The belts and pickup are hydraulic driven, so you can adjust their speed to fit your needs.  It speeds up the belts considerably when it starts the tie cycle, so that is a lot faster.  We were in about as rough of ground as you can bale around here and it easily did twice what one tractor and baler did the day before per hour.\

There was a neighbor there yesterday that runs a new JD tractor with a new JD baler, and he remarked he spent as much on that combo as this thing would cost.  He would get a lot more baled in a day with the Vermeer, but would not be able to use it the rest of the year feeding or whatever.
