We have lost about 15 cents on corn and 7 or 8 on beans in the last couple of weeks. I think if the board keeps going up more farmers will sell and it will drive the basis wider. If we get a rain and the board goes down I think farmers will slow their sales down and the basis should get a little better for a little while. I would guess we will have a pretty poor basis in late summer when some guys have to empty thier bins for next years crop
regardless of price.
