Subject: Ground driven hydraulic drive on a drill

Frytown, Iowa
My drill will plant different populations depending on seed treatment and seed size. I have a sensor on each row and can get a pretty good idea of populations in the cab. What I would like to do is be able to adjust the populations from inside the cab with a knob... or simplest way would be an adjustable hydraulic valve out near the closed system... Something like a variable rate hydraulic drive. My preference would be that it’s not run off the GPS and hydraulics but instead run off the ground drive wheel. It would be set at a higher population when the valve is closed all the way and could be fine tuned to the population I want by opening up a valve and bypassing the pressure.

Has anyone done this and do you have any pictures?

Thank you
