Corn is so cheap that there is no reason at all to chop that crap.

1st the dirt going through the chopper will be hard on it.
2 poor fermentation and storability of the feed due to dirt and pathogen inclusion.

Everyone always wants to chop the crap crop. But your cheapest silage is always your best corn on the best running land. Leave the crap for the combine jockies.
