Subject: For all the fungicide posts go to searchable databases

Southeast WI

Alright with that subject line I know many had their eyes roll in the back of their heads and fall off chairs. Data doesn't play well for many on here, but fortunately some states - Iowa for example - have done great work that's easily searchable.

Google Iowa on-farm network. Put in your search parameters. Takes maybe a minute of your time. Peruse the results. I can post more tonight for those that like to just read the headlines. Here's one teaser.

Corn. Fungicide. 2006 to 2019. 560 on-farm replicated trials. Average return to fungicide = 3.3 bpa.

This is Iowa. Likely more responsive than Wisconsin to fungicides. Likely less responsive than Tennessee to fungicides.

Use good data to help drive decision making. Run your own replicated trials. Over 30 years I've found one thing that typically shoots holes in many "facts and convictions". Put your theory to a replicated test and see where the chips fall.
