If I was still in the military, in would be proud to defend Mount Rushmore from destruction. If I did it as a private citizen, my assets would be seized in a civil suit filed by a peacefully demonstrator.
Sadly, my military service was squandered by nation building politicians for a people not capable or desiring freedom.
Heck, I would even go today, as a old guy if it would preserve out national monuments. It would be nice to some pushback on some of this.
