And here I would say wow, you can get that many months out of only 5 acres per? Some pastures you could double that here...

I'm told of pastures in Wyoming and the high mountain country in British Columbia that its closer to 80 acres per AUM.
Likely other areas but those are 2 such that I know of.
Habermak (sp?) runs cows in what looks like quite dry country dunno as to his stocking rate.

Stocking rate, IMO, is very much a 'here' thing - - - - - and varies LOTS!
