What could I expect for a yield and cost per acre?

Peas are not that expensive to grow.
To grow them well does take some inputs though.
One of the issues you'd likely run into is that your just too warm.
Peas - - - well they don't like things cold but when you get to 75 F they're complaining.
If you have the right conditions yields right up tight to 100 cleaned bu per acre are not weird.
Might take some doing but possible - - - - just you can't do it in the heat.

Suggest you might want to include peas in you early seeded silage crop.
The right variety(ies) can bump up your tons a bunch and their palatability can be very high and they'll add some protein - - - - so if you've got the right conditions - - - - they, again, work well.

They are NOT a warm season crop!
