CNY | FWIW we have used Pottinger front mount and one rear for 11 years but not with conditioning as we do wide swath haylage. Never felt the need to look at anything else.They are really tough, never had to work on cutters but have had to replace seal and bearing on 90 degree gearbox, once from hay winding. Front was replaced after hitting a hidden culvert on rented land, just replaced rear with a wider unit giving us a theoretical 26' total cut. Kept the old rear for a backup. On smooth fields can go 15-16 mph no problem. | |
