| If you are saying you put 200# of 23% nitrogen. Or 46 actual # of nitrogen then no you do not have enough.
I put 50# of actual nitrogen on a field that was disked clean for months with a well prepared seedbed and cut before boot stage and came back with the following results. Attached is a few pics from my grow. In the forage results are also nitrates.
So for 46# of nitrogen into a Hayfield I think your going to need more nitrogen.

Made about 4500-4750 lbs/acre of dry hay on first cutting.
It's burning up now no rain.
Ok I had like 200ish ppm nitrates in my BMR. My regular non bmr was like 10 ppm or really low. Both had 50# of actual nitrogen.
I think with the other stuff growing in with it you need more nitrogen. Not an expert on this though.
Also can't the silage process reduce nitrates? Not sure on that. But either way that is my results hope it helps you.
