High electricity costs. Grid problems with excess capacity when the wind blows yet base generation still needed to stay on line. Conventional generating stations shut down in Australia because they could not compete with the subsidized wind so then rolling brown outs. Have not done any research on it lately. That was a year or two ago. A little of it works. Get too much of it and it causes problems. Probably a pretty good deal for the landowners. Not so much for consumers and taxpayers. John |
