I put calmer chopper rolls on and it was the best thing I have done. Leave the stalks stand tall and it just shreds everything else, nothing blows around and what doesn't break down over winter is very easy to move out of the way at planting time. I have made all of the modifications that calmer suggests and it has worked for me.
