Subject: RE: Spraying evergreens trees ?

Jefferson, SD
We tried to save our Austrian Pines when the blight started moving in. We used a 300 gal tote plumbed to a power washer. Mixed a copper sulfate in the tote and sprayed. It works quite well but the power washer needed a new pump the 3rd year. We threw in the towel as we were still losing trees that were sprayed. We hit them 3x per spring-summer. I finally gave up about year 3. Most of our Austrian Pines are now gone. Haven't had any trouble with the short needle types.
