Subject: customs bio-security

Pittsburg, Kansas

Funny thing about that re-entering the US after being on foreign farms. I was with a group of about 35 that visited numerous farms in Mexico and Costa Rica back when they scrubbed your shoes when you went through customs. The first couple in line when ask the question they took the shoes and scrubbed off every last particle. When they realized there was another 30 people behind with the same story, they waved us through.

Just another in a long list of things happening that have caused me as I age to not put much faith in what the government says or does for/to us any more. It was a bad joke as far as bio security was concerned. We all were fine with them taking the time to ensure US livestock safety. They obviously did not take it as seriously.
