In my experience Woods has the leakiest gearboxes on the market.  Woods dealers sell a lot of Farmoyl fluid grease, 
there is a reason why, I have experience.  So either that or cornhead grease is a good idea.  
I would not bother trying to fix, just fill with thicker grease.  They do not hold oil.
