Don’t know. Open to advice?
Maybe pull my bulls right now and test them? Or ride it out until fall and test the bulls? And see how many are open?
The cows have a very short window where they are actually positive is my understanding and the risk of running them through the chute during breeding season probably isn’t worth it? It will be tough to prove/estimate the damages and file a suit if I have a lot of opens, unless my bulls are positive, then it would maybe be easier, as they were tested negative in April...I don’t know

If he tests positive. Bring in the state vet.
Follow the paper trail back on the bull.
The sale barn"should" have insurance........doubt mr bull owner will be any help.
If the bull was bought at a sale barn, as a mature used breeding bull. The sale barn might
have a tit in the wringer on this one.
Non virgin South Dakota bulls are sold to slaughter only, unless they have the paper work proving them to be trichinosis free.
Keep us posted........
