Osakis,Mn | It could be carryover in mulch if the straw or grass had Stinger or Milestone used on the small grain or grass the previous years. Yes I said years, experienced that myself using a straw bale for mulch around my tomatoes,
that the wheat had been sprayed with Curtail (2,4-D and Stinger) 4 years before. Even have to be careful using compost that has material that was sprayed with Stinger or Milestone. Also had a neighbor lady that decided to experiment with a straw bale garden, wondered why her plants were dead. Tested the straw and it showed a residue of Stinger herbicide. | |
