SW Ontario | Exactly. Nothing but ourselves to blame. The Western world has lowered their standards. Forty years ago, we would never consider doing this much business with communists.
The fact that the US dollar is still the world’s reserve currency, and the fact that almost everything is pegged to this currency, has allowed us to buy underpriced goods for over a generation. Unfortunately, it is on the backs of the next generation because the US has now printed the currency into oblivion. Basically the baby boomers have gotten a free ride on the back of the US dollar while the next generation will have to pick up the pieces. | |
