Subject: Chopping with the old Fox (video)

west central Iowa
We chopped some pasture we let get too big, it had a few thistles, so we didn't want to bale it. 1086 pulling a Fox 3000 I bought about 5 years ago. I paid about $250 for it thinking it would be another parts machine, but when I got it home I noticed it still had paint on some of the roller chains and had hardly been used, but it had sat outside a lot. It shredded the blower belt today but we had another one hanging on the wall so we were going again in 15 minutes. The wagon started out as a 6x12 Dohrman I bought with a rotten floor. I rebuilt it with new floor and ends and made it 8x12. The video is close to the end of the field and it starting to get a little dry, but I chopped 4 loads at first light while it was pretty wet and saved them to put on top.

Sorry the video won't load, tried six times it gets to 99% and starts over.
