Hooker Twp,Ne | I’m guessing 25-30% damage on corn and it will take a fungicide spraying to keep disease down. The beans I don’t know about. There maybe enough foliage on 50 to 60% of them to raise a half a crop. Then it also depends on how much bruising the stems have. Weather is the key the next week on them. If their worth it then fungicide will help also. My largest concern then is weed control. Nothing is working around my area but dicamba and the ones that have enlist beans. It’s getting late for replant in my area and if we do frost will be a big issue this fall. Like pouring more money on a bad situation. Luckily we do have some hail ins but like any insurance when you need it you never have enough. Times like this is what make me nervous to forward contract my grain. We got hailed on probably 700 acres of our crops. | |
