There are cupped paddles made for some choppers. I know for sure JD and NH. They make them blow farther. Check with Lancaster Parts and Equipment, or Joe's Machinery in Willow Street, PA.


Cupped blades are made for choppers that don't use blowers.
The cutter head then also functions as the blower.
Not sure but I think you would get more 'blow' out of the blower than out of a cupped blade cutter head.
Might be that when you overload the cupped blade cutter head the blow distance would drop off quite quickly where with a blower if you have enough power your drop off would be slower (that's an arguement from design and not experience - - - only read of the cupped blade models and iirc they were usually the smallest model in the series).

He's talking about cupped paddles for the blower on the chopper. Not the knives.
